what a hugh disaster!!!!

as you know, recently, there a significant earthquake happened in China. my motherland, to be honest, it's lucky enough that my family are safe, they felt a slightly swaying that day. but the whole thing casued a big tragidy. thousands of people died, and thousands of people still buring under the debris. natural disaster...can we fight against it? the answer is pretty clear. every time i see those pictures, i can stop myself crying, i can't hold that emotion. however, the astonishing thing is that at this point, there are many people are arguing about the accuracy of the death number that chinese government provided, and the government curruption. i can't believe it~you know...right now, the initial action should be done is that we should contribute our help to them. those arguement should be dealt with afterward. i wish i could be there help those soldiers, but i cant...i can do anything except donating mone, clothes, etc...,...i feel guity about this. i don't really believe in any religion, but if there's any god, budda...please, help them, help those people who is suffering...please...

welcome to China~~...and some ...

i just saw a video on youtube, the title is BEIJING WELCOME US --full version. well, that is the theme song of the Olympic games i think, the lyrics are really good if you can understand Chinese. you know what , that's the thing, that's what i wanna talk about. the whole song is meaningful. it shows our courtesy, welcomeness. also shows our cultural stuff. however, it's impossible for people who don't know Chinese to understand that. so i'm wondering if we should present one or two english version theme songs, like the World Cup. yeah, right, probably many Chinese people in China mainland would say it is not necessary to do, and the Olympic Games is held in China, so Chinese songs could present our spirit. well, i think if we insist to only have a song which people from other countries couldn't understand, then why do we use it? it's a internatinal event, right? not just like some national jocks competition. remember? the recent two world cups, no matter in France or Japan and Korea, they used english songs. let's face it, english is the most widely spoken language, right, if we wanna people from other countries understand us, be motivated, get engaged into the games, we should have something to help them. right?
Anyhow, it's still a damn good song though.
oh, by the way, how can i add a video from youtube on my post?

oh, man~

yo~what's up! these days not really many things are going on. everyday feels like pretty much the same, except one day past, i got one day less to stay in Canada~ LOL. well, what can i say. i'm not saying Canada sucks, in fact it's pretty good, but the prices are higher than America. well, if my laptop didn't stop working, i ould have a better life~LOL...maybe? have you think about that sometimes we have more money than we know? do you think so? like the day before yesterday, i found that there's about 200 buck in my drawer, i was sort of surprised, cause i thought i had spent it... and today, i made a deal with some guy that i 'm gonna sell him or her my used books, so compared with last week i felt like i got about 300 extra dollars~to be honest with you i'm feeling pretty good. then, i was like thinking about why did i scratch my head thinking about save as much money as i could? i keep saying i did that because i was trying to make enough money for the upcoming semester's living cost, well, maybe i have saved enough money? i should spend a little bit i think , buying some stuff that i liked before, treat yourself a little bit better maybe?i don't know~i found taht it's good to play basketball with friends cause we have a good time, but on the other hand, every time i played basketball with friends, i kept laughing~it weaken my muscle~and made me tired in a short time~crap~yeah right, i wished i was in America, i like sneakers, and these stuff is much cheaper in the US~there're more variety of shoes as well~man...

i want peace more than freedom

Recently, people might have heard that things happened in Tibet and the Olympic torch relay. They said they wanted freedom in Tibet, they wanted free Tibet...here, i'm not judgeing them. they sure can have their opinions, and that's totally fine. but the thing is that Olympic is a sign of peace. Look at the duration of relaying, they were trying to seize the torch, they were trying to do something bad. Ok, now, i 'm wondering, what the hell do they want? Making China embarrasing or making Olympic ashamed? Some media or people said that chinese were so anti-pro-tibet because of chinese media; however, one thing is really ironic is that their news source came from Tibet exiled government, which is believed as the truth?( are you kidding me or scott?) Also, about these tibetan protestors, i am curious that in the past 50 years, what have them contributed to your hometown?Have you gone back your hometown? By the way, one point i don't get it is that how could these tibetan immigrate to europe or north america. 30 or 40 years ago? if they were commoner, they could not afford to do that. i'm pretty sure about this. well, this obviously is another story.
some people say that it looks like people who obtain the government policy will consider as good. They blame chinese authorities abusing human rights. Ok, let's say, if the chinese government allows them free, then..?They have nothing there, how could they develop economic?Who would be their leader? what? don't tell me American would give them a hand again, like they "did" to Iraq. also, what kind of society they would be? back to slavery?like 50 years ago? well, i guess people in the exiled government are still familiar with that. anyway, i 'm not sure if it's because different tradition that it seems like western people tend to think about themselves, or just some of them. the reason i ,mention this is that according to what some of them thought, people should fight for their rights, for their freedom, ok, i wanna ask them, is that ok for those addicts in their countries? is that ok for them to grow marijuana in their back yard? what? it's illegal? no, that's just an opinion, right? maybe, decades later, human beings' philosophy change and taking drugs becomg a good manner. i'm not saying people should tolerate or suffering something, but they need to know the both sides of the sroty before they write critic, right? those minorities in China get more advantages from government than we, Han, do. they are still poor, we know this. Although we did some economic myth, China is still a developing country, average income is really low. not just tibetan are poor, ok? the economic in whole western China is bad, and we are focus on developing it.
Many places around the world want independent. can we just let them go? no!! why we have a united nation? what for? also, i wanna ask those protibet people, in your mind, which world do you want, a world with one government named united nation, people have the same goal, there's no war any more, or the world with thousands of countries who fight for their own benefits? it's like a family, one has a man at home, who has a wide knowlege, and strong, other family members need to listen to him, and have rules to follow. Another family, people can do whatever they want, even children can take drugs, but there are lots of arguing, qurralling in this family. i recall the bibble tower at this moment. Myth says we were speaking same language, having same goal. i remember Murray said that one day he wished there's no white, black, brown, and yellow, people treat each other like friend. no war, no benefit arguing...
There's a song we Chinese learnt since primary school, one line of the lyrics is that 56 RACES ARE 56 FLOWERS, 56 BROTHERS AND SISTERS ARE ONE FAMILY.

wwow~~scott is back

woo~Scott is back, jesus~that's great, eh?it the end of this semester though. So, i don;t really know how many blogs i have written, but i will keep doing this until this Sunday~ yesterday, i called futureshop, asked them about my laptop, the girl, sounded sweet, told me that there wasn't really any specific time that i can pick it up~oh, my god~it have been under repairing for more than a month. to be honest, i kind of pissed off~i have to write my term paper in library, i have to go to school around 8everyday to finish homework. i have to have a rush breakfast everyday~no lunch~sometimes not even have a chance to supper. it is all because the super low efficient stupid futureshop so-called technicians. i don't get it~how come they could repair it at such a slow pace? that's killing me~i lived myself, it's so lonely in the midnight~i can't chat with my friends, i can't watch movies, i can't watch sports~it sucks~what can i do? everyday i wishes" please call me ,please call me~"nobody calls~i've been there three times, the last time i went there, the guy said the problem was hard drive, and the new hard drive would arrive the next week from Toronto~ok, it's two weeks already. what the hell is going on there?you know in China, it would way faster~oh~man...by the time they call, this semester have already done~

however, the bright side is that in fact i got more opportunities to read, like newspaper, books~it pretty good actually, i rarely read newspaper before my laptop dead. also, i make more phone calls to my parents or friends. Especially, friends, i haven't given their calls since i arrived Canada~i actually felt guilty about that. but i still miss my laptop~i wanna play~

dum~~~

what's the plan tonight? en~i gotta work today, but i need to take my speaking to the library tonight~gee~how? what i am planning is that tonight, i will make one or two appointment first, then, i will go to work. when it's time to go to the library, i can told my collegue i need to go to the bathroom. what? people need to go there sometimes, it is normal~then i will change my shirt and rush to the library. sounds good, eh? en~maybe it shows that my attitude about for work is not right, so what? it's just a parttime job, and it's just a damn washing dishes work. right?woo~i think i can't finish this blog because i head to the next classroom, holly cow~ en ...these days i kept thinking of hanging out with friends when i go back China. yeah, there's one thing i am afraid of is that i think i might miss the taste of pizza when i was in China, and pizza in china is quite expensive, damn...right, you know what, there's a chinese idiom decribe a kind of person who make his budget carefully, and don't spend any money out of his budget or a person who do not buy anything expensive, we call it iron chicken because there's no feather on iron chicken~~~yeah, alright~i'm that kind of person, ok? en~~cheers, anyway

rush hour -- li edition

have no idea what's rush hour --li edition? well, you'd better figure it out. since this semester, i haven't really picked any particular topic.it's good ,because usually when people set a topic, they need to really think about it. And usually, they think in their mother tongue, which is definitely not what Scott expect...hohoho~what a great excuse~in today's class, we talked a little bit about rock music. i increacely like rock music, and the trend is that from soft to metal, from british rock to north american...actually, i never talked about rock with any Canadian or american, because i'm afraid when i say some band like linkin part, or my chemical romance, or three doors down.. they would say "dude they're not popular any more or some thing like that...honestly, i like the rawing part in the rock music, it feels like an release of emtion, and also like people back in thousands years ago, when we are not really educated, and kind of original men, kind of like animal. we are still animal anyway~i think rawing is the soul of rock. once a friend of my said she was still lonely when her mate wasn't with her at night, i told her that you'd better listen to some rock when you had that feeling. yeah, right, that's what i feel, rock have ability to kick "lonely" away. these days i'm trying to find some metal rock, but every time i found metal band, i felt that guys in those bands were sick, they wore makeup, they have ugly tatoo and clothes, all i can say is" god, it's disgusting" like today, i saw a guy name marilyn manson, jesus~his picture was really scared me. why people do that?what wrong with them~is that the spirit of heavy metal? shoot~~

i'm screwed?

holly cow~only two weeks left and i only got 2 or 3blogs...and the thing is that recently my computer is under repairing~i don't know if i can make it, ~geez, 10 more blogs, maybe i can try, one entry per day. is it possible without a computer at home? en, it's time to use some tricks, don't blame me, i have to...well, it's quite fun to write a blog without any topic. i don't have to try hard to come up any idea. last week, i have a friend went back China, damn, man, i am so jealous. he's home now, with his parents, with that familliar bed, and tons of chinese food at a way lower price, compared with here. how about iran, i still remeber the photo that showed in bezard's blog, iranian capital, looks fantastic...woo, right, how about ukrein? or korean...i never see a windmill in the real life. maybe one day, i will be there. north european is my dream place. i heard people there are peaceful, the gap between rich and poor is small, their rhythm is slow, and they are enjoying their life, dislike somewhere like hongkong, or usa, people always work, work , work~

only two weeks left, maybe we should throw a party at the end of this semester, i mean april 15 or 16.17...what do you say? a real party, not like last time...right, last time i went to den, i saw lana, lisa, sharon, fan...where the hell were other people?at last i hanged out with some other guys from level two...

the second this semester, yeah!~

we are in the trilab now, scott told us to blog. so, here i am. there is no typical topic for us since scott take care of our writing class. that is great, but should i talk about here? for this question, I have NO idea. it must have at least 250 words by the way. ok, wait a minutes, i start to type before lana did, but now she write more words than i do, that's ... impressive. well~ everytime i check out scott's blog, i see that burger, god, that makes me feel hungry. recently, things not going very well. First of all, my laptop didn't work properly. I did't know what was going on with it. it just worked super slowly if i was licky enough. i took it to futureshop to repair it, and the technician said it would take 3 or 4 days before they looked at it. that's definitly not efficient. life without computer sucks unless you live with your friends or relatives. these days, every evening, i image to go into a room without computer, it really scares me. i wish i can get the computer back next week... i need to do the homework on it. the next thing is term paper. not good again. there are lots of grammar mistakes that makes me want to knock my head...besides grammar, like content and volcabulary are not too bad. woo~i kind of have no idea what am i talking about. today, we did a quite interesting activity in listening class. Murray told us to write compiment about our classmates.i'm wondering what did you guys write about me. i wish there's no such thing like i like your car because i don't even have a car. it's gonna be funny we Anton see his yellow paper. someone wrote i like your glasses, whereas he don't even have one. i didn't write this...but someone sit around me did LOL~ok~now i'm gonna click publish post button...YEAH~~

bulletin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

gee~what a shocker~finally, li start to update his blog. watch out the world, li is coming back~~well~yeah, maybe i guess. woo, are we supposed to write like this style? kind of too casual? however, this week, we don't have any topic... totally freestyle. this is much better. sure, so that we can write anything we like. sounds great, but the down side would be that i will most likely write an article that i'm intereted in. ok, for the sake of freestyle (??maybe?seems a little bit risky~what the hell, it won't kill me). i just remembered that Scott told us the two different kinds of language in the world. In China, it is readers' responsibility to understand what they read, as the writers, they don't really care if readers can understand...so how about middle east? how about Iran, Amin? wait a second...so...we Chinese students are supposed to get used to write without thinking about if readers can understand...is this the reason that write an English essay is kind of harder than people from Europe? is that so? sounds more like an excuse...becasue there are many Chinese can write fabulous essay...oh, by the way, the midterm essay really sucked...i thought this one was gonna be ok, because I paid attention on agreement, or tense, these kind of stuff...but there's some other surprise~ shanghai surprise~now i know the reason that many people don't like surprise at all. yeah~i do think i kind of write something without considering if people can understand. that's a bad bad news~well, midterm has past, nothing i can change, all i capable to do is that double effort so that i can influence the future.

by the way... there's a new Bridgestone commercial at the bottom of this page....pretty funny...guaranteed

Hi~guys

hi, my fellas~how's going you guys?i doubt i will get the answer, well, anyway....do you guys still check your blog and see if someone leave any comments? to be honest, i check it everyday, i think i knew that it's holiday, rare of you will log on, and see if there's any new post. i think it might have already become a habitof mine, like check the mailbox everyday. i saw Amin's last post. in the first few seconds while i was reading his words, i was thinking...what the hell is this? then i figured out what's going on. well, that's original, and funny. wow~christmas is coming...what am i supposed to do during that time? oh, right, how about your lives these days? well-organized? mine? completely messy~and my room is messy either, i just take a photo of my messy room. maybe i will upload it some day. well, this semester ended. nice~ do you have any plan for this Xmas vacation?i don't wanna stay at home always~i want to get some fresh air in the montain and meet some new guys. moreover, have FUN!!yeah...again~a little bit everything, much in nothing~

last blog

This is my last blog in this semester i think. well, maybe not. I am very pleasant to write something in this space. As time goes by, it is the end of semester. There are many memorable things leaving for me. I still remember the first when I entered the classroom; all the faces were strange for me, however, those faces that I cannot forget forever. Especially our teacher Regina and Zalfa. You teach us a widely of knowledge. It is a pity that this semester is only 4 months. If it possible, I wish you would teach us all the class in my faculty (Just imagine). Another wish is hope Forget to mention my classmates. I have never regretted meeting you, because we were discussing together. I still remember your laugher and your voice It seems like we only have the first class (time goes fast). I am so lucky to make friends with you. If we were met one day, it will remind me all the memory of this semester.Without you the days are lonely. Finally, wish you gooooooooooooooooood luck!

exams~

yeah, writing exam has been done..great! em...well, i'm not sure the essay that i wrote, i don;t, never thought we would have this kind of topic. i thought maybe just like midterm, the topic that we had written before. but i think it will be fine, recent quizes or assignments were not bad, so...right, i got a pretty good mark on presentation, i gotta thanks anton, he did a good job that made a great post, which cost him 20bucks, man~almost oneweek living cost. ah~man, i'm so tired~~i played basketball this afternoon, jordan, jethro, and me (well, nick was in another team), we were beaten in the first two hours i think, poor us~after played the basketball, i had to work. oh~work till 12 is really hard you know, not only washed dishes, but also cleaned the dish room~god...and the supervisor gives me four days work that up to 12pm next week. it's really hard~i think i need to talk with him this weekend, i don't think i can handle it. by the way, i saw mahmoud this afternoon in the court, but he wasn't in my team...

Friday, November 23, 2007

a litttle bit everything much in nothing...

once i read nick's blog, he said he want to take his parents here after he immigrate successfully...i just came up the thought that i have....i was like tend to think i will even ask my parents to raise my kids in China, and i don;t want them live here for a looooooonnng time. it's not good for them, because i think they will feel bored here, they will feel lonely here, they will miss their friends in their hometown, and the food...just for what? good condition? i don;t know in canada, what conditions are good, clear sky? less pollution? kind of...but does it worth to give all those stuff? isn't it kind of cruel to them, our parents? i don;t know, maybe at that time there could be nearly half of people in canada is chinese...hehe..let me digress( see, i used what i learnt, ahha) how many international students in our program sort of have a feel to change their citizenship in the future? as for me, i just wanna get the permanent residence, i don;t wanna everytime i go back home i gotta go to the immigtantion office at first or even there's some interview thing, i feel like isn't it a little bit silly? changing citizenship will get some advantage though. to show the loyalty to the british queen? slap me in the public seems easier...well for me. around 2 hours ago one of my father's friend take me to T&T, a chinese supermarket...when we went back, i saw a chinese restaurant, there's are many people in there, i...i just miss my home suddenly...i don;t know...f#$%why? that feeling sucks, after i moved out of my uncle's house, i started to miss my family...man....calm down...i think it's because i saw so many chinese in the restaurant, it's seems like in china, god... stop...
i wanna have a vacation that i can take a rest...christmas is coming...ok. doesn't have any relation to me, except boxing day?? maybe... i can buy some stuff for my parents, like what? no idea...
coldplay's songs are terrific!!!!!!!!!!

on mood

What accnompanies you all your life is not fortune and fame nor youth and appearance, but your mood or the state of mind which controls your life. As man in the modern age, our moods are as ehangable as the cars coming and going on the super-high way. A favor from a neighbour, a kiss of a child, a praise from others are like warm sunshine that makes us comfortable. Bat a rough word from a stranger, a false product bought from the store, or an insulting remark in fun would put you in a bad mood and make your heart sink.A good mood makes one happy, energetic and creative. I was once shut in an elevator for one and a half hours. I had to phone for help. Eventually I was released, it was fun because I was in a happy mood. Otherwise I would have felt miserable.A bad mood is bad enough to cause you to lose self-confidence and leaves you helpless with all your worries and troubles in mind.More often than not, we are in a mixed mood. Sometimes we are happy and high-spirited. Sometimes we are in low spirits. At this time we have to take courage and have a change of mood.A good mood will accompany you on your way to the palace of success, to the chamber of love and to pleasure and barmony in life. With a happy mood, we can live a more substantial life, one that is more interesting and meaningful. So, always remember to keep a happy mood wherever you go or whatever you do.

damn cooking

em...I'm kind of fed up with cooking. not exactly fed up maybe, as you guys know, i moved out from my uncles house, i have to cook by my own. man...it's totally different from cooking at home. i like cooking at home, there's so much fun, and i know i do it for my parents, but now, i just cook for myself, i don't have any passion on it. I'm not sure if it because i don't have enough containers and seasonings right now. hoo~or maybe it's because i need to go to class everyday? ah~damn it! damn it! damn it!! i wish i could live with my friends, so that i could cook for them, it's great when you know whom you are cooking for, right? oh~my... i have to get used to this situation, don't i? well, i have to, what can i do? is there any choice? maybe, technically, only if the god will send a nice girlfriend to me? dear god, I'm becoming crazy~am i ?haaa~~i think i understand why my mum doesn't wanna cook a full meal when i wasn't at home. man~~

sometimes i don't like change

About 50minutes ago, I successfully transferred the cell phone's responsibility from my uncle to me, i should have been happy, because I wanna change it for a long time. however, the fact is that I didn't felt good, I'm not happy, i actually felt unsteady. it's not like just change the user's name, the account number has change, the billing has changed...i hate this, i hate the sense of unstable. at that time, i was kind of upset, sort of regret. I'm thinking, why i felt bad on this? I'm not sure if it related to money, maybe...because money stuff is always makes me nerve racking...

new life is coming~~

Hi, everyone, I am moving tomorrow, yeah...I'm so looking forward it. the landlord is a Chinese, moreover, we came from the same province, isn't it good? and she is really nice, there aren't many rules and actually, her house is not very tidy, so i think i will be easily adapted. i have already packed up, hoo~am i afraid of something?no idea. never lived with other strange adults. i think we could be good friends, living like a true adult. does this sentence make sense? OK, whatever. she has a 10years old daughter by the way. i think young mums are easier to communicate with, because raise little kids need patience, i feel like patience makes people easygoing, like Regina, Zelfa(yeah~~).
brotherhood, it's the new concept of Adidas's' basketball products, i like this idea, team work is the corner-stone of doing almost everything.
i miss my friends in China, Britain, or Australia. i miss you guys~~

a little bit everything, much in nothing

I signed up an account in a web called school-inside, sort of same thing compared with facebook, wow...since several month before, there's always some friend asked me if i had a school-inside account , the answer ofcourse is no, cause i felt that thing was boring, i didn't wanna waste me time on that, well, as my curious, i signed up an account this afternoon, and checked it out after work, you know what, i saw so many ex-classmates there,no matter in high school, junior high or even primary school. it feels so good to see them, it's like flash back, somehow like i saw them on campus again, wow~so moved to see them. i also saw so many schoolmates there, i was thinking... why i hadn't known the nearly 1000 schoolmates before i graduated...
I sent Candace a mail whom works at service stop, cause some problem with my universty entrance results, i didn't put it in a sealed envelop...when iwas typing her the e-mail, i suddenly felt like i dreamt this situation when i was in Beijing. Cause i slightly remembered i had that horrible dream that i left that results at home, and the university were going to delete my file...oh my god~~~
have u guys ever experienced that sometimes u suddenly feels like missing something, someplace, some friends, even some pieces of music...
